DISPOSABLES ARE NOT PERMITTED
IN THE SCENIC ROCK AREA


Including disposable water bottles and
other disposable bottles & cans, juice boxes,
plastic & paper bags, candy & cookie wrappers,
chip & pretzel bags, paper, napkins, all glass,
including wine bottles [sorry].


TYPES OF ITEMS PERMITTED
Sport bottles, canteens, mugs, thermos bottles, botas,
tupperware type containers, cloth napkins, etc.





THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US IF WE ARE TO KEEP
PANAMA ROCKS PARK OPEN TO PUBLIC ADMISSION

If we allow ONE person to take disposable
items with them into the scenic rock area,
then we have to allow EVERYONE to do it.

If we allow EVERYONE to take disposables
into the scenic rock area, then 5% to 10%
of those people will NOT bring them out.

In a good year over 10,000 people visit here,
and, 5% - 10% equals 500 to 1000 individuals.

It took us two years to clean all of the litter
out of all of the crevices and holes in the rock.

The cost of picking up all the litter every day,
climbing down into the deep holes and crevices,
would have to be passed on to all park patrons.

The cost of such daily maintenance would be so great
that no one would want to pay as much as it would take
to cover all of the additional costs for the maintenance.

Therefore, we cannot permit anyone to take
disposable type materials into the scenic area.
