AXCELLENT ADVENTURES FAQ

Axcellent Adventures at Panama Rocks Scenic Park is an epic outdoor axe throwing experience!

Our Axperts will teach you how to safely throw an axe and you can start having fun in just minutes! Whether you want to come by yourself, with a few friends, or a large group, axe throwing is something everyone can enjoy!

AXE THROWERS MUST BE AGE 12 OR OLDER AND WEAR CLOSED-TOE SHOES.

Is axe throwing safe? Safety is our top priority. Our arena has fenced-off lanes and we strictly enforce safety rules. Guests are supervised by our Axpert coaches. For more info, check out our Safety Policy.

Should we make reservations? Axe throwing is currently by reservation only. If you are trying to make a same-day reservation and you cannot see openings. you can call or text 716-703-0021 to check last minute availability.

Is there a dress code? All guests must wear closed-toe shoes and high heels are NOT allowed. There are no exceptions to this rule. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that will allow you to throw an axe easily. Flannel is not required but it will entertain our staff. Clothing with objectionable material, including violent or obscene language or graphics, may result in refusal of admittance.

What are the rules? The rules will be explained to you by your Axpert before you begin throwing. In addition to traditional axe throwing matches, we have other fun and unique games for you to try!

Should we tip? Tipping is greatly appreciated. If our Axperts do a great job, please feel free to tip.

What if we make a reservation and want to add or subtract people? Please email or call us. We will accommodate changes to your group if possible.

What if we have to cancel? If you need to cancel or modify your reservation, you may do so up to 24 hours before your reservation.

How old do you have to be to throw an axe? All participants must be age 12 or older, physically capable of throwing a two pound axe at the target with ease, and must follow our safety rules. Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible parent or guardian (groups of teenagers need someone over the age of 18).  If our staff determine that a guest cannot throw an axe safely, that guest will not be allowed to throw.

Can we drink alcohol and throw axes? We do not allow alcohol in our axe throwing facility and will refuse service to anyone who seems to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. We don't want any axidents!

Can I bring in food? Absolutely, you are more than welcome to order or bring food, drinks or cake to any event.

Do you supply the equipment? Yes, we supply targets, axes, lanes, and training!

Can I bring my own axe? No. We inspect our equipment to ensure that it is safe and free from defects. You must use our equipment at our facility.

Can we take pictures? Yes, photography is welcome. If you do post to social media, please use the hashtags: #PanamaRocks and #AxcellentAdventures!
